Had the opportunity to meet some real watch people at the recent Glasgow/Edinburgh RedBar event in Finnieston. This was my first one as unfortunately I have been aboard for all the other ones this year.

Well, what can I say - I was made to feel immediately welcome by everyone.

With a beer in hand (purely to stave off the cold weather, you understand). I was able to not only see, but also try on lots of reallly nice watches in a totally relaxed environment. It was good to chat to everyone about the history of thier collections, whats next on thier watch bucket list and just about anything else around this obsession we all call, collecting watches!

A totally eclectic mix of backgrounds all joined together by a passion for watches, just as I was about to leave I noticed a face I recognised, purely from You Tube - Adrian Bark was sitting quietly in the corner chatting watches.

For me it was not about promoting the business but taking some quality time to just talk about our passion - great event and hopefully many more to come.

Just to share something a little interesting I wore the Davosa Ternos Black and White GMT - there were only 500 of these made and it attracted some good attention - must of been fate as the next day it sold online.

As I say a well organised and worthwhile event, if you love watches, get yourself along to one near you - I will certainly be doing more.
